I often do specialist consulting on interdisciplinary projects, especially those involving some blend of music/sound, science, technology and the humanities. I generally work as a bridge-builder, co-researcher, facilitator, coordinator and ideator. Because of my diverse formal and informal training across multiple disciplines, I generally thrive in situations where my diverse formal and informal expertise in multiple disciplines can help to bring new hybrid thought and creation into existence, “speaking the language” of everyone involved, and facilitating the process of synthesizing different desires and ways of thinking into a cohesive whole.
Most recently I’ve consulted on a number of projects involving dynamic systems and ecological simulation, music and stage performance with wearable technologies, and vocal music-technology projects such as singer Maria Arnal’s “Impossible Larynx”.
